Wood preparation line for the carbonization process

Find out the price

Description

The raw material preparation line is designed for receiving, transporting, fractionating, drying and feeding biomass to subsequent process units, including the BIO-KILN-3 continuous carbonization furnace.

The main objective of the line is to provide raw materials with stable size, moisture content, and bulk properties to produce biochar/charcoal with stable quality and yield and predictable characteristics.

The line creates a controlled flow of raw materials, reduces the influence of the human factor, decreases heat loss and ensures continuous operation of the main thermal equipment.

Brief description

The GREENPOWER raw material preparation line is a complete equipment system for processing wood and plant biomass to the parameters required for stable carbonization. The system includes units for receiving and transporting raw materials, sorting, drying, removing large particles, and feeding the prepared material into the furnace. The line is designed to meet the required throughput, raw material type, initial moisture content, and final product requirements.

Raw material requirements

General requirements:

  • Raw materials must be of biogenic origin;
  • Metal, stones, glass, soil, large mineral inclusions, and other foreign impurities are not permitted;
  • Raw materials containing paints, varnishes, adhesives, impregnations, polymers, and other chemical contaminants are not permitted;
  • Raw materials must ensure stable and safe transport along the line without excessive arching or jamming;
  • Specific permissible parameters are specified based on the furnace type, throughput, and target product;
